Find out what it takes to win

The following tips from past judges, winners and finalists are provided to help nominees make the most of their iAwards experience.

Preparing your submission

When preparing your submission, consider it as a business proposal. Pay the same attention to detail and presentation as you would to win a new client.

Aspects such as clarity, grammar and succinctness will all be noticed by the judges. Remember you're trying to make a good impression.

Make sure your answers directly respond to each question and provide substantiation of your claims where possible.

The judges read a large number of entries, so it is also very important to stick to the word limits.

Make sure that you complete the nomination form in full and meet all the criteria. Also run through the checklist and be sure that you are eligible to nominate. If in doubt please contact the iAwards team.

Supporting Material

In addition to your written nomination, you can attach supporting material. These can consist of anything from product brochures, referee statements, client testimonials, a video about your product or any other material that supports your nomination. Ideally, this material should include the following:

Logo A high quality version of your logo to be used in presentations should you win; (mandatory)

Photos Print resolution (300 dpi) photos or screen shots that illustrate your solution in action are highly recommended as reference material and may be used for publicity should you win.

Video (maximum 3 minutes) describing your solution or illustrating its use. This video could potentially be used to promote your product as you progress through the iAwards at both a State and National level.
