The Motion Simulation System, University of South Australia

Using state-of-the-art virtual-reality (VR) technology, the Motion Simulation System (MSS) explores therapeutic application to human pain. Using the MSS, we have published evidence that persistent pain may be a brain-based, learned response. This has paved the way for a VR brain-training tool to extinguish learned pain-responses via painless illusory motion.

Meet Anna, a 'clever avatar' designed to help older people and others with care needs maintain their independence by helping them with their daily routine. She is a virtual assistant; a carer's proxy in daily life, available to provide assistance when a real person cannot be there.


Maptek PerfectDig, Maptek

A PerfectDig picture is worth a thousand pegs! PerfectDig brings augmented reality to mining. PerfectDig is innovative and practical. 3D earthworks design conformance appears on photographs published to the phones, tablets and PCs of site engineers and operators. Safety is improved because hazardous survey pegging is replaced by a picture.


Professional Learning eJournal, Cloud Journals Pty Ltd & Meeting Success

The Professional Learning eJournal brings "enter once, use many times" technology to professional standards compliance and planning. Customisable templates create intuitive cross-platform interfaces suiting busy professional practitioners and drastically reducing organisations' paperwork. The backend provides for universal data management allowing potential third-parties' easy integration, without the need for expensive modification.


Sports Vouchers, SMS Management and Technology & Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure

Sports Vouchers is a State Government initiative for primary school age children from Reception to Year 7 to receive a $50 discount from sports club/membership fees. The solution provides an online portal for club registration and claim submission as well as a citizen website to search for participating clubs.


Waterfind, Waterfind Australia

Waterfind Australia has developed an online water trading tool that allows the buying and selling of water and simplifies the water trading process. This enables farmers and irrigators to access the national water marketplace to buy water to support agricultural production and sell water as an alternative source of income.

Industry research and stakeholder engagement indicated the need for a visual business decision making tool. SRA responded by leveraging 10 years of industry knowledge and experience to develop a solution. The result - iD - is a visualisation tool which brings vital information to the user through one intuitive dashboard.

The Universal Student Toolbox (UST) is a program intended as a one stop shop, that will provide the support tools needed for all students across Australia studying the Australian curriculum. This ambitious project, in its initial offering, will focus initially on creating custom calculators for the year 8 maths curriculum.


Pincam, The University of South Australia

PinCam dedicates to computational wearable camera solutions. PinCam cameras can be pinned onto the users’ clothes and wait for the users’ instruction at all times. Instead of pressing the camera button, the users just say a specific instruction such as “take photo”, and then the camera takes the photo immediately.

Kampus is an online platform that connects businesses with local students. A local business or organisation (i.e. not for profit) wishing to connect with a local talent pool can use Kampus to connect to students studying at local RTOs, including Universities and TAFEs.
